Our Three Month Old CHUNK

although we don't have our next doctor visit until February, we took claire to get a weight check. the little chunk weighed in at 14 lbs and 2 oz, which is an increase of 2 1/2 lbs. wow! she went from the 75th percentile to the 90th. she is definitely a great eater. (you don't have to look far to see where she gets that.) baby is growing and changing so quickly. she's talking a lot and developing such a personality! claire loves the cold weather, her mobile, being read to, smiling, kicking her legs, watching football, taking baths, and cuddling. she dislikes riding in the car seat, putting on long sleeve onesies, having her boogies sucked out, and having her face washed. her favorite color teeters between pink and lavender. she is still sleeping 12 hours each night, which means mom is well rested and able to enjoy every moment of every day. we are incredibly blessed. what a peach! a big peach, but a peach nonetheless.

First Snowfall

it has been apparent that miss claire really likes the cold air, so today when grammy came for her monday visit we took her outside to see and feel the falling snow. at first, she just stared and seemed mesmerized (code for frozen ), but it didn't take long for her to break into that huge smile that we have all come to love.

Splishy, Splashy Fun

claire had her first bubble bath, and she loved it! she slapped the bubbles with her hands and kicked, kicked, kicked her little feet, but the most fun might have been her new rubber ducky. she instantly batted at it and pushed it around. too much fun! she sure is growing.

I Heart Aunt Alesia

a quick shout out to SUPER cool aunt alesia who showed claire how to ring in the new year. supergirl only lasted until 9:30pm, but it was a good start. she was awake for dinner and trivia, but slept through facials and fireworks. it was lots of fun for everyone, and we ALL heart aunt alesia.

I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas

well, no hippos but lots of family fun. i'm sure it will be a couple of years before catherine claire is in to the whole christmas scene, but she enjoyed the hoopla anyway. (i'm certain that she thought the parties were for her.) she loved getting to play with her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters, and friends. it was all quite lovely, and we look forward to doing it again next year.
